The green side of Jamaica.

Portland sits on Jamaica’s northeast coast, where the Blue Mountains run down to the sea. It rains more here than anywhere else on the island — which is why it stays this green, and why the rivers, waterfalls and cove beaches around Port Antonio look the way they do.

It’s also where jerk was invented, and still the quietest corner of the island. A fuller guide is on the way.
